Seedstarting

1. Choose a Soil

• Organic Seed Starting Mix
  Start your garden off right with this 100 percent organic germinating mix with added compost, protein meal and trace minerals.
• Eco-co® Coir Seedstarting Mix
  Go peat-free with our garden-tested coir made from coconut husks. It's pH-balanced and finely ground for optimal root growth. Makes 10 qts.
• Transplant Mix
  When transplanting seedlings into larger containers, use this slightly coarser mix to ensure excellent drainage.

2. Choose a Fertilizer

• Plant Health Care for Seedlings
  6-12-6 fertilizer, plus humus, amino acids and vitamins to make seedlings stocky and disease-resistant.

Self-Watering Containers

• Self-Watering Container Mix We formulated this mix with a coarse, airy texture that allows it to act like a wick, carrying water from the planter's reservoir to the root system.

2. Choose a Fertilizer

• For Vegetables or Flowers: All-Purpose Fertilizer
  Our slow release, 5-5-5 granular fertilizer provides balanced nutrients all season long.
• For Tomatoes: Organic Tomato Fertilizer
  Our slow-release, granular fertilizer (5-6-5) is formulated to give your tomatoes all the nutrients they need.

Elevated Beds and Other Pots

1. Choose a Soil

• Container Mix
  This fluffy blend is a good, all-round mix for hanging baskets, windowboxes, and large and small containers.
• Organic Container Mix
  Fortified with nutrient-rich compost, this 100 percent organic mix provides an ideal balance of aeration and water-holding capacity.
• Eco-co® Coir Bricks
  Compressed coir bricks are compact, economical and a convenient way to fill large planters and raised beds. We recommend mixing 50:50 with our Container Mix. Pack of 10 bricks; each brick expands into 10 quarts for a total of 3.3 cubic feet of coconut fiber.
